Me Doing Cable Curls.

Fast forward to the present. Yes, I’m still 6' 1" but I now weigh 240 pounds and I did it 100% naturally through hard work. In fact, I'm a very strong advocate for natural training.

Currently I train four days a week and I’m up at the crack of dawn at 4:30am to hit the gym. The point of my story is that with some determination and the right training program anyone can see their fitness goals become a reality. If you are looking to bulk up or get ripped, you have to just hang in there and don’t quit. The results will come!

My weight training journey started back in 1986 for the simple fact that I was extremely underweight. Weighing in at only 149 pounds at 6’1”, I was a walking beanpole. On a windy day I would panic and start looking for something to hold on to. Ok, maybe it wasn't that bad, but you get the idea...Real skinny!

Through trial and error and sheer determination, I finally started to see some positive results. But I’ll be honest with you, it wasn't easy. In fact, a few months after starting, I actually gave up and threw in the towel in frustration and called it quits. But the weights kept calling me back.
On my next go at it, I decided to tackle it with a different approach by studying all that I could. Not just about lifting weights in the gym, but also the nutritional aspect in every detail and that my friend was the key to my success. Once I knew what I was doing it didn't take me long to start packing on the muscle.
